1. Bogut's out
2. A split is good enough
3. We were the underdogs
4. Steph just had a bad game
5. The refs screwed us
6. Wait til we get back to Oracle
7. Just a bad shooting night, it happens
8. Clips were just hot

Under NO circumstances, mention the following:

1. The D was poor, as it often is
2. Jackson rides the strategy short bus
3. The Ws would be better off without Lee and his contract
4. Getting blown out on national TV will carry over into game 3
5. The epic turnover rate will continue because the Clippers can pressure Steph into stupidity
6. "no excuses basketball" is a cheesy soundbyte that Ws fan ignore.

n.b. the first 8 make you a "real fan," but the last 6 make you a "debbie downer" or a "hater."

Carry on....:L

Silver lining is that Steph actually found a way to drive the ball in the 3rd quarter. He needs to start the game that way. No Doubt it'll be a different feel in game 3.

9. Clippers Are Simply A Better Team Than The Warriors

The Clips won 57 games with arguably the best PG in the NBA out with an injury for a full quarter (20 games) of the season. There's an old adage in the NBA "that you're only as good as your best player" and while I love Curry, Paul is just a better player when you look at the totality of their games, so the Clippers do have the best player on the court in this series.

Their strength (in addition to Paul) also happens to reside along their front line, so losing Bogut is particularly damaging considering the matchup. Many fans were actually hoping they'd fall to 7 and get OKC in the first round of the playoffs, which would've been a better matchup with Bogut out. Of course it goes beyond Bogut as our space eater #1a Festus Ezeli is going to have his entire 2nd season erased because of this knee injury. Clearly both of these players could've had a big impact on the series.

When you start comparing these rosters top to bottom, the Clippers really have an embarrasment of riches on their bench compared to the Warriors. Crawford, Collison, Granger, Davis and even savvy old Turkoglu. Jared Dudley is an excellent rotation player IMO, and even doesn't even seem to be able to get minutes with the bench they have. The Warriors best bench player (Green), might only rank 2 or 3 on the Clips bench, depending on how you evaluate players.

Jackson has gotten alot of heat this year, while it's been a free ride for Myers, who's been very good, but hardly perfect in the building this team. I hope Lacob is watching this series and beginning to realize that this team might not have as high a ceiling as he thinks they do, particularly with our two best interior defenders out with injury, and a bench that just isn't reliable or consistently productive.

That being said, this is the NBA, and we've seen teams blown out before in the playoffs and bounce back. As ugly as it was, it's only one game. The Clippers still have alot to prove. One game doesn't make a series.

10. 47 Turnovers In Two Games!

That is just a breathtakingly bad number. 47 turnovers vs 166 total possessions in the first two games. Hard to get one's head around really. The Warriors have just crumbled in the face of the Clippers on ball pressure.

Game two was a perfect example of adjustments.

In game one a lot of the Warriors success came off of the Clippers blitzing Curry up high. When they did this, Curry gave up the ball to the high post, which made quick passes to cutters or other shooters unguarded (essentially playing 4 on 3). This gave the Warriors a lot of good, open looks.

In game two, Mark Jackson employed the same exact strategy during the first half. Doc Rivers made the adjustment of still pushing Curry far up with a high hedge on the pick, but the rotations and defensive assignments of the back 3 were cleaned up. They communicated and knew which players to leave open, and forced the passes to where the Clips wanted. The Warriors played right into their hands.

3 Legit Excuses for the Warriors:
1) The Clippers are a very good team. Let's not forget that. They're the 3rd seed in the West, and that's including CP3 missing 20 games.
2) Steph has had 2 mediocre games (at best). There's only room for him to get better through the series.
3) The Clips are one of the best home record teams in the NBA. Taking a split against them is definitely a plus.

3 Inexcusable things:
1) No adjustments from the coaching staff. They need to anticipate how LAC would counter their production the first game and figure out a contingency. It's a chess match in the playoffs, with having to a play a team up to 7 times to close a series.
2) Turnovers. This is the playoffs. Clean it up or gtfo.
3) Defense was terrible. They need to employ a quick double every time Griffin touches the ball. I can live with Matt Barnes taking 8 three's. What I can't stand is Griffin walking his way to the rim and laying the ball in. Draymond is not a physical match for Griffin.

My very last gripe is that why are you employing the Hack-A-Jordan, when you're down 23 in the first half. That move should be utilized WAY earlier in the game to help disrupt the Clippers flow. On top of that, why are you employing a Hack-A-Jordan, when you have no offensive edge? If you're going to be fouling him, that means you don't have to have guys out there to play defense. You put 4 other guys out there who can score the ball, especially when you've already been bogged down on offense. That's just common sense.
