love how the angels only fall 1 spot after their rocky start (again this year)

blue jays fall 5 spots with the exact same record as angels

Yeah, can't put much stock in their popularity contest. All I care I about is that the Braves are 6-1 right now and not so much what ESPN thinks about them, good or bad.

How in the hell do the reds drop a spot to 4th after taking 2 from the rangers and being a single away from sweeping the number one team, while the nats remain #1 while only beating up on the worst or second worst team in baseball?

Yeah, it's bullshit. I haven't seen the numbers, but does anyone have a better offense right now? How can they not be #1?

Reds outscored the Nats 27-10 and could have easily taken all 3. The Angles were #6 preseason too. I guess sweeping the worst team in baseball at home is more impressive than taking 2 of 3 from both.

And HD, the Reds are currently 1st in runs, 1st in run differential, and 8th in overall batting ave

yeah, it's ridiculous that the reds took four of six from the angels and nats yet drop a spot.

I guess they'll post the new rankings today. expecting the Braves to be squarely in 1st and the Reds and Angels to plummet.

Right now I think Cinci is ranked too high and so are the Angels. If Josh Hamilton hadn't come alive yesterday I think they'd be way lower.
