I’m rooting for BVB against Tottenham. Need Bundesliga sides to show well on UEFA stage.

You could say injuries cost them, but then look at the Tottenham roster and who is missing. Pochettino > Favre at this point. Anyways, Dortmund out in Pokal, probably UCL, now just Bundesliga left for them.

Bayern escape yesterday. Again piss poor defense. Luckily Coman not seriously injured and fit for Liverpool. Remember the last time Coman was fit for a big UCL game? Yes, it was the 2nd leg vs Juventus where he assisted Muller to tie and scored in OT to win 2nd leg a few years back. Been a long time.

No Reus or Alcacer certainly didn’t help. BVB had moments in the first half where they looked to have the momentum needed to find the back of the net. Then it was purely embarrassing in the second half.

Yes, we did mention that about Coman. I was sick yesterday (luckily) and was to was able to stay home from work to watch from home. I was really frustrated with James and Gnabry, especially Gnabry. Happy to see Kovac recognize that and give them the early hook.

Agreed. I do think BVB is still the superior team. Need Bundesliga teams, especially the table leader, to do better in Europe.

He is. Leverkusen moving up the table now. Not sure if there are enough games to make top 4. Need a Leipzig / Gladbach slide which I don't think will happen. Top 4 is probably set.

Leipzig is sneaky good. Poulsen isn’t the flashiest player, but he now has 12 goals this season I believe after the brace yesterday. Their defense is surprisingly stingy. They need to make it to Europe more often.

They are and next year they get Nagelsmann to coach them. Tyler Adams starting for them since he arrived. Speaking of Leverkusen, the guy every team wants is Kai Havertz. Good to see up and coming German youth making a difference because they are much in need for Euro 2020.
