Aluminum bat BA don't always translate to major league material. Ask the Royals and the flop known as Alex Gordon. Supposed to be a can't miss out college, his next call up from Omaha will be his last chance.

those stats are wood bats.

in the juco tourney he's a beast with metal:
In the Western district finals of the 2010 NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) World Series, Harper went 6-for-7 with 5 RBIs and hit for the cycle. [10]. The next day, in a doubleheader, he went 2-for-5 with a three-run double in the first game, and in the second game went 6-for-6 with 4 home runs, a triple, and a double.

Right, I don't know a JUCO or college program that uses wood bats anymore. Summer leagues for college players even use aluminum bats. And if his BA is that high he hasn't faced major league pitching either. And that is a big difference.

As a Nats fan, I am certainly starting to follow him online but do not get to see much of him. How does his range look. I imagine that he will NOT be catching in the majors and will likely get moved to an outfield position or 1st. I am excited about the potential of Starsburg and Harper being future building blocks for this team and hope that the Nats brass treat him the way that they treated Zimmerman and do not try and nickel and dime these guys.

because Gordon's injuries had nothing to do with it....

I have not seen him play, but he's been called the Lebron James of baseball by SI.

I know he has Scott Boras for his agent (same as Strasburg), so he could see a big payday in his near future.

from wiki:

Harper also has been recorded pitching 96 mph

During the 2009 International Power Showcase at Tropicana Field, Harper hit a 502-foot home run, the record for the longest in that stadium, though it should be noted that this was with a metal/composite bat.
