Report: Broncos sign cornerback Bryce Callahan

Very good news - IMO. Callahan is just what the doctor ordered for what remains of the Cback needs.

He’s had the injury bug every year, but he is one of the best nickel CBs in the game. He will look good on the Broncos.

I just finished posting on this in another thread but it bears mentioning again - the versality built into Fangio's group of dbacks is fascinating: Each of these guys can play multiple roles: Cravens, Simmons, Jackson, Harris, Callahan and Parks. Fangio can deceive a lot of QBs with this group lining up one way - and breaking another way at the snap. What I like about Fangio's zone defenses - is they aggressively contest for the ball on every play.

Agree- The aggressive style is what won us a Super Bowl.

Callahan wanted to play for Denver because of Fangio. That says plenty about our new head coach. No more DeAndre Baker in the 1st round. Harris-Jackson-Callahan is all the Broncos need in the short-term. Callahan can match-up with the quicker slot guys and he's an amazing blitz-corner.

That is unless they plan on playing Jackson at S since they missed out on the better S in Free Agency. Maybe Fangio likes some of the young guys we have too.
