Game Thread: Bruins Hosting Stars, November 5th, 2013

You new members are great for starting GDT's but just so you know, we usually post them on the general board so other members can chime in also. One thing you'll find is the hockey fans here are some of the greatest guys you'll ever meet online (and in some cases in person). Jeff and I went to a game in Philly 2 seasons ago, met quite a few Flyers fans there, including hanging out with 2 after the game. It was a great time. So just consider posting on the general board and meet some new friends.

Now for this game... What a shit show. That was an awful line change which led to the penalty shot and the tying goal. That missed delay of game call on Dallas was horse shit as well. It couldn't have been more obvious. This team just isn't playing a full 60 minutes of hockey, and it's really starting to show. They better turn shit around quick. Toronto and Montreal are playing better, and now we have Detroit in our division. Add to that TB playing some damn good hockey right now as well...

Hopefully this will be the end of our "slump" with such a slow schedule in October. Maybe getting into the grind of games often will wake us up.

the team hasn't been playing well for over 2 weeks now. Lots of guys off their game so far this season, most notably Bergeron and Marchand. Lack of O from the bottom 3 lines is killing us right now. That being said, the season is a long grind and you don't need to playing your best right now.

Bruins might feels overshadowed by the Red Sox. Makes sense. City is busy celebrating the World Series, no one will notice if the hockey team slacks some in early November.
