Bruins come in with 76 points in 56 games (1.357/game) 7 points behind Pittsburgh with 2 games in hand on them.

Bruins goal differential is +46, home record 22-6-2, 7-1-2 in their last 10.

Ottowa has 63 points in 58 games (1.086), a differential of -17, are 13-10-6 on the road, 5-3-2 in their last 10.

Zdeno Chara will miss his 2nd straight game.

A good thing about the disappointing Bruins overtime loss last game was seeing the linemen break up a fight faster than usual. IMO hockey at all levels would sell more tickets long-term if that happened more often. It would lose far fewer fans than it would gain. Winning races to loose pucks, withstanding the checks you can't avoid, making the opposition pay for mistimed hit attempts, etc., are hockey, fights are NOT!

GO BRUINS! :yahoo::nod::yahoo::nod::yahoo:

Congratulations on your victory today Bruins fans.

The Sens flat out suck in afternoon games for some reason.

By my count the Senators are 24-12-9 in non-afternoon games this season and 2-9-2 in afternoon affairs. I'd like to think they have a chance today but against a very good Bruins team, in their building, I just don't foresee a victory.

Random chance probably accounts for your team's problems in afternoon games.

I'm not counting on a win though I do have my usual vCash riding on my Bruins this game.

I don't want to see opponents injured, but will not complain if Ottawa's luck today is confined to
remaining healthy.

I'm glad I won't be the only poster to this thread.

GO BRUINS!!!

Miller used Smith like a speed bag in that fight.

The fight marred what was otherwise a good 1st period.

TWO 1st period Bruins goals! :omg:

THAT'S what I want to see more of.

CO BRUINS! :yahoo::clap::yahoo::clap::yahoo:

Great 1st period including a great fight by Miller. We need more fights like that to keep the momentum going. 3-4 good fights a night would be great.

See, if they had had a fight right off the bat maybe the holding call doesn't happen. Poor decision by the B's

HIGHLY unlikely, to put it politely.

And as I've said before fights are as likely to get the OPPOSITION going as your team.

I wasn't talking to you. Your constant whining about fights is taking the fun away from the game threads.

Ever notice how the players who can score drop the gloves less often the players who can't?

There's very good reason for that.

4 Bruins goals and only 1 fight. BEAUTIFUL!

Now win the 3d period, Bruins!

Ever hear of Gordie Howe? Marcel Dionne? Cam Neely?

This game is getting out of hand now, 6-1 after that Marchand goal.

HAHAHAHAHA... Man the Sens shit the bed just about every afternoon game. It's like clockwork.

Oh and this GDT has sucked almost as much as the Sens game today.

Do you guys really need to bicker about who likes fighting and who doesn't? Can't you just enjoy your team beating seven shades of shit out of my Sens today? :L:gaah:
