Game Thread: Bruins At Blue Jackets, October 12, 2013

Others can do as they see fit, but for me the Red Sox playoff game will get priority over this one
after the baseball's 4:00 PM start. It's still very early in hockey season, after all. This is not at all crucial
to the Black and Gold.

Here's hoping our teams have a 2-0 day, today.

The Red Sox play at 8, so there is enough time to watch both.

The Bruins should be able to win this one at least I hope so. Agreed that it is still early on in the hockey season but it is always a good thing when hockey is on.

It's not like they played bad against the Avs though. Gigure was just playing a great game and was stopping everything that the Bruins did.

I don't think the offense needs work I just think it was that they were against a goalie that was on his game. But with that I do agree with you they are going to want to prove something.

Linesmen should have broken up that fight quicker than they did.

Bad first period by the Bruins. They gave them a couple of chances and the Blue Jackets cashed in on one. The Bruins had one good run in that period but they just couldn't find the back of the net. The early game might have jumped up on them in the first period. Hopefully the second is better.

It's not like they played bad against the Avs though. Gigure was just playing a great game and was stopping everything that the Bruins did.

Whenever you go out there and don't get a goal in the new look league you are going to be frustrated with it. Also when you came out in your first two games and looked like world beaters. So far against Columbus they are looking like the team that played on Thursday, which again is extremely frustrating.

In case you hadn't noticed the Bruins tend to play their best in 3d period, not the 1st.

Falling behind early is becoming routine for them.

Tough goalies to go up against in Giguere & Bobrovsky, guess I could see the reason for the struggle . Maybe my 4-1 prediction was a bit silly . This looks like 2-1 or 3-2 to me.

Don't care much for watching replays of games in which I already know the final score.

If I have to miss a game for some reason I'll settle for reading about it online. That's why I don't use my own VCR
very much.

Better 2nd period. Sucks that they didn't cash in on the double minor but still at least they got a goal in the period. The third period should be good. If they keep playing like they did at the end of the second period they should be able to pull it out.

As I said before, the Bruins do play better late in games.

That can make the 1st 40 minutes frustrating, but you'll have to get used to it.
