They have a number of picks and a lot of needs especially on offense.

They will most likely take a QB with the 4th pick, but they also have the 1:26 and 2:35.

They just released ILB Jackson, so this will be a key postion to fill. We will see more during free agency, but C Mack and S Ward are both free agents and we will see if the Browns work anything out with them.

Needs: QB, WR, ILB, OL (OG, OC), S, and RB

4th pick: Bridgewater or Bortles??

I love Teddy. I think he has the arm strength, pocket presence, great accuracy, and the mechanics to be the guy in Cleveland and for a long time.

26th pick:

They could go a number of different ways here. WR, ILB, or OL. If Mosley is there, take him. (Will probably go top 15). He is a stud. If not, I think they have to go WR and this draft is loaded at this position.
I liike Beckham or Cooks, we will just have to see what is available.

Here are two mock drafts I have been looking at:

http://www.draftsite.com/nfl/mock-draft/2014/

This one has the Browns getting Johnny Football at 4, CB Kyle Fuller at 26, and OG Yankey at 35.

NFL Draft Mock 2014 | NFL Draft Mock Draft

This one has Watkins at 4, Derek Carr at 26, and at 35 ILB Skov.

Once we closer to the draft and in free agency I'm sure these mocks with change and will be updated.

Still having my doubts. Should they take Manziel if he is available??

He has all the talent and the world and good pocket presence and great accuracy.

Well at lesst there should be one less position to fill in the draft. Alex Mack was given an option tag, so most likely he will be back. Not definite, but it looks good. Good decision by Browns.

Now they need to work on getting Ward back, or going for Byrd.

SMH at everyone overlooking Clowney, a guy who could make Big Ben and Flacco turn the balls over and put browns in a lot of redzone opportunities.

He is easily the best player in the draft, but the fact is the Browns NEED a QB. The Texans will be idiots if they don't take Clowney at #1 IMO

Let me throw in my 2 cents...

At 4 I think it comes down to Clowney or Watkins. Watkins would be such an addition to our offense, that with him, Tate, Gordon and Cameron that an average Qb(Hoyer) can step in and put up decent numbers.

At 26, I like Carr if he is still there. If not I think we look at Jimmy Garappolo(Worked him out today) and Ryan Shazier. Maybe a corner right here. If we take Clowney at four, then we could see a WR here as well(Beckham?)

If Bridgewater and Bortles are both gone at 4 I think they go Matthews or Watkins and aim for Manziel with the second of the firsts.

Except right now their starter is Fitzpatrick. You cant even think you will be successful with him starting.

Don't think Bortles or Bridgewater are going to be NFL studs. We can afford to take Watkins, or Oline, or Clowney at 4 imo, and see what happens down the board.

Watkins is going to be a special player and threat. I think they take him or if Clowney is there get him. If the Browns really want to get a QB, wait. If Manziel is at 26, why not take a shot at him. But I resply think Hoyer is the guy, especially if they get Watkins as another bigtime weapon.

If Manziel is there at 26, then it is a no brainier imo, but I think the Browns find more interest in Carr and Garappolo in reports I've seen.

Smart move trading down... Still get number 9 overall and now 2 first's next year..... I'm sure that Bills pick will be a top pick also... I don't see them having a great year next year...

I really wanted Watkins, but they got a good trade for a #4. I just think he's a once in 5 year kinda player.

I was also hoping for Shazier, Hyde, or Carr with the 2nd first rounder. I'll have a better feeling about this draft after the next round...

Looking back on the draft now I like it more. I really hated the idea of trading away from Watkins, but thats a hell of a return with Buffalo's 1st next year. Additionally, they got Manziel with their 2nd first round pick. I don't know a ton about Gilbert aside from he is supposedly the best cover corner in the draft.

Overall, it seemed like they had a pretty solid draft. Didn't get a WR, but the addition of Miles Austin should help the WR core if he can stay healthy (pretty big "if" there with all his hamstring issues).

I guess we will see. I'd really like them to compete, but if they pull another 6 win season and Buffalo tanks, they should be set up for great draft potential next year with possibly 2 picks in the top 10!

So we have two first round picks again, who do we take?

Im thinking WR and DL

Taking any QB in the 1st would be a mistake imo

The one thing the Browns do better than anyone in the league since their return in '99 is making the wrong Draft Day decisions. And I see no reason why things should be any different this year.
