Also probably needed to make the announcement sooner so Bills could have left already. Hearing it's already really bad there so wont be easy taking off in the plane.....worse might be how the players, coaches, etc. will get to the airport.

Most of the players live near the stadium, which is in the "snow belt" - gets about 20" more snow per year than Buffalo.
They have to deal with snow on a regular basis, so that really shouldn't be a issue.

I read elsewhere the Bills were planning on flying out Saturday afternoon. That's consistent recent forecasts, which call for about a foot (more) of snow Friday night / Saturday morning, then a break, then more snow late Saturday into Sunday.

That’s a lot of snow in pure and brilliant form from the skies and lakes. Awesome.

Oh yeah right now.

So nature has basically defeated the NFL?
That’s good. Nature defeats many things.

Cincinnati used to have some major ass snow storms. Some places it snows more than others. NE some nice ice games.

Buffalo is stealing the show with the snow.
No fair.

Snow football is great. It’s what you play with the kids in the back yard. Tackling is easy in 2-3 feet of snow.

Where exactly are they putting this snow from the stands once the fans get a shovel full? Please carry this shovel full of snow to the far side of the lot and heave as far as possible. Then you can walk back and have a seat, hoping some other asshole wasn't lazy and threw their shovel full of snow in your seat instead?
You know GB already ran this game plan. Snow was shoveled to by fans and removed.

Bills management frequently advertises during the week for snow removers.
IIRC they offer an hourly wage, free hot beverages, and a ticket to the game.

Not 6 feet worth man.

This is pretty much unheard of

The amazing thing to me is that this is purely lake effect snow coming off of Lake Erie and exfremely localized. I'm in Rochester, about an hour East of Buffalo and we've had an inch or less, mostly lake effect off of Lake Ontario to the north. I was surprised to hear of the projected snow issues for Buffalo earlier in the week since there was no talk of anything for Rochester.

snowstorm buries western NY under 6 feet of snow and counting

Emergency crews have rescued numerous stranded motorists in a "river of white" on roadways across the region as officials order a travel ban for all of Buffalo with snowfall totals eclipsing the 6-foot mark -- and more snow is on the way.

When I was stationed at Fort Drum we would get hit with lake effect snow all the time. The snow was so high that sometimes you couldn't even see the tops of stop signs. Don't miss that place.
