On the bright side the people of Detroit can now see a good home team.

Last time this happened, Brett Favre’s start streak ended in a home game, for the Vikings, in Detroit.

Ultimately, you can blame "global warming" for causing the game to be moved.

The "aggravating" weather factor here is the unusually warm fall which has Lake Erie at record high temperature.

So the lake effect snow is going to be even more intense than usual.
For those of you unfamiliar with "lake effect":
Cold air moves across a body of water, absorbing moisture in the process.
The air then moves across land. The air gets too cold to retain all the moisture it had absorbed, so it dumps that moisture in the form of snow.

This is essentially a transportation/safety issue. In the winter, it's commonplace for municipalities to issue travel alerts/warnings. When we get "serious" storms, i.e. more than a foot at at time, standard procedure is to issue "no non-essential travel" alert. At game time on Sunday, I wouldn't be surprised if a "no non-essential" alert was in place for the entire county. So with the best case scenario being a traffic nightmare, and worst case being no fans would even be able to legally drive to the game, the NFL had no choice but to move the game elsewhere.

The NFL has officially gone soft. Football's supposed to be played in the elements. Did they cancel or move the Ice Bowl?

So football can't be played in bad weather anymore and if you hit a QB too hard it's a penalty.

That's it, I'm done with the NFL. until I can watch games this Sunday

As a person who is playing Allen in fantasy this week, this was a horrible decision!

But as a person who has Allen in fantasy in a different league, this was the right call.

Ive got Dtepon Diggs,Im happy as hell.....

Altho I love snow games,I love my fantasy even more......

But on a serious not,its not safe to put people in the stands......
How do they get there.....?
How does Cle or fans fly to get there when the airports are gonna be closed.....?

Theres so many things(safe) that need to be thought rather than fans wanting to see a snow game of this magnitude........

Although Id like to see it myself,it just shoud not happen.....

Was hoping they'd play in snow as figured that could help my team if even just a little.......but I say that as someone who will be watching in my living room.

It seems you are from the area, so I yield to your personal knowledge, but I-90 doesn’t go from Rochester to Pennsylvania, does it? I’ve taken it East to West

Best part of that game...the Cowboys had two pair of socks and two undershirts on, that was being prepared then.

Well that and Bobby Hayes keeping his hands in his pants unless a pass was called.
