Did Dash just start an OV v. Crosby thead? It's a sign of the apovalypse!

As for the list, Think Backstrom is too low, but obviously, I'm biased.....

While both players are great, I would definitely say Ovechkin is the better player. I am getting sick of people measuring players by championships. If you want to ask who is the better captain, I would say Cindy, but as far as production on the ice... Ovechkin hands down. More NHL points than Cindy, and way more physical.

Who, me?

/Daniel beats out Henrik, did Brophy forget who won the Hart and Art Ross last season? Obviously, he didn't (as he said just as much in the comments), just funny to see that.

Anyone else have a problem with the no. 3 pick on that list?

First of all, rep for the avatar :D

Second, he might be a little high, but he's being rewarded for a pretty good six month stretch of hockey (best forward at the Olympics (won a Gold medal as well as the Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe). I think he belongs in the top 10, but in the second half of the top 10.

wrong thread to post this in ... but I heard Lebrun say that Doughty went to Willie Mitchell and offered to give up the #8 ... Willie asked him if he was crazy

... solid guy!!!

my bad if its been posted

"I wore No. 8 in Vancouver. The first day he came in he was like, 'Willie you can take my number,' and I think that just speaks volumes of him as a kid," Mitchell said.

He declined Doughty's generous offer. "I said, 'No, you had too good of a year last year. You've got to keep rocking that thing,' " Mitchell said, laughing.

"I think that speaks volumes of him. We were on the ice together the other day as a pair. It was fun seeing what he can do, how he reads and feels the game. I look forward to having a chance to play with him."

Jumbo Jim and Marleau are both top 30 and both of them should have made that list over Heatley.
