The first team to hire a HC and it's the GB OC.....

I guess it's a good move if he brings Rodgers and Adams with him... :noidea:

I think this move is made to bring in Rodgers. If it is, at least my team will be competitive in the short term. Long term, we’re probably looking at the post-Manning times once Rodgers cries his way out of Denver as well…

As a fellow Broncos fan, I respectfully disagree. I think Paton knows there is not much chance that Rodgers is leaving GB this year. So I don’t believe he was hired due to him bringing Aaron along with him. Hackett was known before this past season started as one of the leading candidates to be a HC this off-season.

Rodgers would go from being the king of the NFCN for 15 years to battling with Mahomes and Herbert for turf

Everyone expects Rodgers but a play for Jordan Love almost makes more sense considering how young Herbert and Mahomes are.

I guess they hired a guy who would have a pretty informed opinion if Love has what it takes to be a successful NFL QB.

Are we really sure Jordan Love isn’t just the Green Bay version of Drew Lock/Osweiler? Because that is sure what he looked like in KC. I get it was his first start- but that was capital R rough.

Agreed. They hired the one person who has all of the information on Rodgers and the Packers offense. That's probably a pretty valuable commodity considering the drama that is always around Rodgers

No, I'm not sure about Love. But I'm not also sure Rodgers will be in the league 2 years from now.

If they sign Adams then that means they are going to be willing to part ways with one of their young WRs. I'd see Sutton as being the odd man out in a trade. He is on that 4 year deal he signed meanwhile Jeudy and Hamler are on their rookie deals which will be needed due to the big money that Adams will command.

The Broncos just gave extensions to both Tim Patrick and Courtland Sutton this season. I’d be surprised to see Denver sign Adams.

What if getting Rodgers hinges on that?

As a Chiefs fan, I think the worst case scenario is the Broncos getting Watson. Rodgers will be absolutely nuts for a couple of years but not a decade or longer.
