How's this fucking problem going to wind up getting solved? It's getting ridiculous.
The NHL just hired this guy as the NHL's Equipment Manager

Why do they cost so much?

CompositeThese sticks are now used by about 85 percent of NHL players. They come in one piece or two piece sticks, with a shaft and replaceable blades. They are much lighter and more flexible than wood sticks but are more expensive. There are currently many companies that will also custom make a stick for you. The main problem with composite sticks is their tendency to break. Remember they are built to shoot the puck harder not for longevity.

I bought 6 at the devils yearly equiptment sale for $50 each I dont think they were used much
Even then... all the cooler if they were!
I was happy to find Clarksons stick in the pile also got his gloves.Do other teams do this as well in the off season? Devils have their sale draft day every year.
With the amount of money they are paying Kovy, I guess they have to do whatever they can to make money now.
