Anyone else in one? If so, what do you get and pay?

This is the third year I've been in one at a local brewery. It seems like over the past year these things have really taken off.

Mine is a little under $150/year (renewing gets you 10% off, I believe).

Get a shirt, something else (was a glass, but they had these bottle openers made from barrels this year), $1 off all beers, ability to reserve 2 or 3 beers on releases (no waiting in line to get it), something off growler fills (can't remember), premium flights are priced at regular prices (flights with barrel aged beers are $5 more, I believe... Each big release, probably 2-3 times a year, I save $10-15 on this alone), and 4 parties where they have free food set out. Also, 1 free bottle of beer (usually some imperial stout)

I got an email today for one that's $300.

Now, you get 18 bottles of beer... And some years I've probably spent that much on bottles from them, but that's a commitment.

Iron Hill Brewery in Pennsylvania and Delaware has the "King of the Hill" club. It's $15 lifetime. You get a special night every two weeks. Growler fills are half price that night, and crowlers on discount, too. Every day you get a 20 ounce pour for the regular price of a 16. We each got a free mug.

The food is good, too.

This is a good deal. They have a lot of their own beers. A few are fruity or sours, but most of the others run from drinkable to pretty damn delicious.

I've been there once (I believe the Media location). Ex worked there while she was in Philly.

They have a brewery buss where I live. Organized bar hopping.
I'd try that first.

Yeah, they have one or two of those services around here. I've been to all of them, anyway, though.

We've got the Jolly Trolley in the summer. But, you still have to get home at the end of the night.

So drink responsibly. Remember that some of these craft beers are high ABV, so don't think you can pound them down like Bud Lites. There's a reason Burton Baton (Dogfish) or Noir et Blue (Big Oyster) are only served in 12 once glasses, not 16s.

Eh, I can easily walk home from 7 (maybe 8 with the new one opening up).

Though, now that winter's here, Uber/Lyft will be used more.

Just Googled it...only 0.9 miles. Easily walk that too. I think it's not far enough down the road to be too sketchy.

Sounds like Sierra Nevada's Alpha Hop Society. 18 beers/year, 3 catered events with free beer, and swag. Some years they have added 2-3 extra bottles for free, and we are talking 750ml bottles. Also, the 18 are not general public releases, all one offs. Some have gone on to public release in the Wild to the Woods Series.

Also. Fonta Flora has a series, same $300 but only 6 beers per year, one event, and a tee. Big plus, guaranteed front of line on all of their rare releases.i was in it for 2 years, let it go. Their Sours began to all taste a like (too me). The one I cracked last night was solid though.
