Actually, for a change, Favre actually was pretty astute. He usually just spouts stupid shit but I think he nailed it on the head. This is a lot different scenario than when Rodgers got drafted though, imo. Favre was already starting up with the retire/unretire game and AR was a legit first round pick. That only turned into a stupid situation because of Favre.
This thing this year is completely different, imo. It's a completely pointless and wasted pick and without addressing their other needs on a "win now" team is mind boggling, to say the least.

As that what they call them these days? Did you ever go for a tour of Bret's farm?

Fraternity members really, but who cares. They would do stuff like this.

Stop the Pandemic.
The Packers cant afford to trade Rodgers & the Pats cant afford to take him.

We don't want him here, got spoiled in winning Vincenzo Lomabardi's last 18 years , after 30 years of uggatz

I am going to be the contrarian here, and say I liked what the Packers did in the first round. I can't say about the other rounds though.

My view here is pretty straightforward. Jordan Love is a special talent. He's got a strong arm and possesses amazing throwing skills. His big weakness is that he played for Utah State. Now this is no disrespect to the Aggies football program, but playing for Utah State is vastly different than playing for Alabama, LSU and Oregon. Between his 2018 and 2019 season, he lost his head coach, offensive coordinator and 9 offensive starters.

The Packers picked him because they see great potential in him, and feel he can work on his footwork within the next couple of years.

At least for now, he can be a backup for Rodgers, a position in need for the Packers organization. The older Rodgers gets, the less durable he will get. I see this as a torch passing move and finding an insurance plan for Rodgers

It is important to understand when you're drafting a player, you're drafting for at least the next 4-5 years, not the next season.

Outside of that, Love wasn't even that much of a 1st round QB. He's got all the intangibles but his football IQ is HORRIBLE.

Totally disagree with that assessment. Love was projected to go in the first round.

But more importantly Love's flaws are easily fixable, with the right coaching staff and a veteran to study from. You cannot however teach his ability to make challenging throws or somebody who is willing to work hard and be a team player.
