Similar to the deal they did with AJ Green in that they did a 4 year extension.... For Boyd, that means he can probably get one more big payday... For the Bengals, they didn't blow too much money and can still extend AJ.

Unless I'm missing something, this seems like a great move.

Bengals extend Tyler Boyd

Nevermind, I was able to see the numbers now.

4 years / 43 million. Less than 11 million a year, not too bad. I think the next 4 years he will be able to attain huge numbers. Good age range to sign him to these numbers, next contract through...hmmmmm..we will see what the market is, if he is slowing down, how badly we need him, etc.

Green is next I hope. Green needs to stay here as a Bengal his whole career. Dunlap, Atkins, Green. They need to be Bengals for life.

Bengals do best when they sign guys before their deals are up.... This is how they've kept Atkins, Dunlap, and Green from ever hitting the market. It's a great deal for the Bengals... But it's also a good deal for Boyd. Before last year, he was teetering on being a bust. He's had one big season and now he's locked in some good money for 4 years. He'll have one more shot at a big deal when this one runs out. Smart move by both sides.

I’d advise mr. Boyd to remember to wrap that shit up tight.

He had close to 1100 yards in 14 games last year. That's probowl level production. The contract is a steal if he continues on that pace.

It makes you wonder about AJ Green's longterm status with the team. He turns 31 in a couple of days and is in the last year of his deal. If they re-sign him that's most likely 30 million dollars invested in 2 WRs. I can also see a scenario where Green leaves for a dome team or one with a great QB so he can get his stats at a HOF level before he retires.
Mike Brown is nothing if not loyal so Green probably stays a Bengal but I'm not sure re-signing him is the logical move at this point.

And down goes Green! You can’t make this shit up.
