Really? Doesn’t the SEC have like 3? Why not spread it out more? I would assume it is to make it in locations acessible to both teams but still it isn’t like those conferences are that far away.

I agree completely. We have like 3 with the PAC 12 too. I think it should be spread out better.

The Las Vegas Bowl tie-in is a solid tie-in. Unfortunately, the match-up is going to be the 3rd or 4th Pac-12 pick vs. the 8th pick or so from either the B1G or the SEC. Pac better win this every year!

Yeah, there should be at least 3 bowl featuring the B1G and the Big 12, a Nebraska - Oklahoma or Texas matchup in bowl game would be good. Also can't forget Penn State /Michigan /OSU Buckeyes vs Texas / Oklahoma in a bowl would be good ratings as well. WVU / OSU Buckeyes, would be good too.

One would think the Independence Bowl would want a tie-in with the Independent teams just for the name.

Meh --- so the 8th from the bottom vs the 6th from the bottom should be fairly close each year.

You can look at it that way, but it doesn't hide the fact that the B1G and the SEC both have more good teams to shop around, and the Pac-12 will send a better team to the Las Vegas Bowl than the B1G or SEC each year. 4th and 8th from the top is definitely more significant than 8th and 6th from the bottom. That being said, I do think the B1G and SEC will hold their own, and I like the match-up and the Bowl site! It's a win-win-win for the Pac, B1G and SEC!
