Game Thread: Boston College vs Wake Forest | 5:30PM EST on ESPN

He certainly could be the best RB in CFB. He was a consensus top 10 RB heading into the season in publications and top 5 in some of them, and he's done nothing to indicate it wasn't warranted. And he's been better than than guys ahead of him so far. He's made Brown and the WR's at BC that much better based on him drawing all the attention.

 

I like him and BC, I just don't think he's really the top RB in the country.

 

The guys on ESPN TV telecast.....I don't know who they were and honestly don't give a Rat's Shit.

 

I doubt it. Hinton has been practicing with the WR's.

I think Hinton is better right now, but Hartman's ceiling is so much higher.

 

I have got to go back and rewatch this game. Apparently I missed something last night if people are this high on BC.

 

Dillon ran for 196 yards against a stacked NCSU DL last year.

They were high on BC coming into the game. I doubt a win would do anything to change anyone's mind.

 

Hinton struggles with the intermediate throw, but his long ball is great and he's an excellent runner. It's tough, but Hinton can only blame himself. He's the one that got suspended.

 

My twitter feed last night and this morning was raving about BC, media and Clemson fans alike. I just don't see it.

 

If they didn't play both VT and Miami from the Coastal, then I'd argue they would have an excellent shot at 10 wins.

 

I did find it funny last night when the ESPN heads were talking about the chances of WF or BC beating Clemson this year.

I get you want to pretend like it's a massive game, but it's still BC vs WF and neither are in the realm of what Clemson is. Why are announcers so afraid to be truthful and call a spade a spade?

My guess is BC will be 8-1 or 7-2 when Clemson comes to Chestnut Hill. That'll be the biggest game at BC since 2006. Also Clemson lost to a worst team in Syracuse last year.

 

True. Hopefully we can avoid the injury bug this year, especially or QB's.

 

I'm still laughing at the announcers trying to talk BC up as a "legit contender" because they are 3-0 beating Umass, Holy Cross and surviving Wake Forest.

 

Wake Forest without their starting QB, no less.

 

I think they are in the sense they'll probably finish 2nd or 3rd in the division. I'd put more stock in them if they had an easier cross division schedule, but if on the off chance they upset Clemson they could find themselves in the ACC title game. Not saying I expect it to happen but a case can be made.

 

Not sure how much of an accomplishment 2nd or 3rd in that division is this year though.

 

It's not a great accomplishment, if BC does finish 2nd or 3rd they'll probably be a top 20 team, which for them would be good for them. But that would put them in the conversation if they somehow beat Clemson.
