Boise State softball team departures

It APPEARS as if four players on the 2019 Boise State Softball team (non-Seniors) are no longer on the team. I write that here because their names have suddenly been removed from the 2019 Boise State Softball team roster. One of the four was the 2nd leading Pitcher on the team, i.e., Gianna Mancha (a two year Starting Pitcher for Boise State) who went 12-8 in 2019 with a 4.09 ERA. Mancha also started 23 games in 2018 and had an ERA of 3.16 as well as a W/L record of 13-4 that year.

The other three whose names have been mysteriously removed from the roster are:

Justene Molina - 2B - Played in 31 games including 17 starts at 2nd Base in 2019 - But batted only .209

Halle Harger - 2B - Played in 7 games including 2 starts - But had zero hits in 9 at bats this past season. Harger played in 38 games in 2018 including 25 starts - but batted only .193 in 2018.

Tori Biven - P - She was being redshirted in 2019. She did pitch a little in 2018 but had a horrific ERA of 13.12 in only 2.2 innings pitched.

I have discovered that two of these four former Boise State softball team members are transferring to the University of Central Florida to play for their former head softball coach, i.e., Cindy Ball, at U.C.F. Namely Gianna Mancha and Justene Molina.

In response to the departure of these four (now former) Boise State softball players Boise State has signed a pitcher who was a Sophomore in 2019 with the University of Minnesota. That being Hannah Bailey. Hannah appeared in 8 games last season for Minnesota and started 1 game in 2019. She had an E.R.A. of 2.68 in 15.2 innings including 1 complete game.

Not to demean the other three now former Boise State softball players who have chosen to transfer elsewhere but the addition of Bailey, basically, fills the void that was created by the departure of former Boise State starting pitcher Gianna Mancha - at least to some extent.
