Boise State fans SHOULD be cheering on Fresno State next weekend

Fresno State and Utah State are both 4-4 this season. But Utah State will be playing next weekend AT Fresno State. IF Fresno State wins that game next weekend it will give Utah State their 2nd MWC loss this season.

And IF Boise State beats Wyoming this weekend the Broncos would be 5-0 in Mtn West Conference play. So IF Utah State gets beat by Fresno State and Boise State beats Wyoming the top 4 teams in the Mtn Division of the MWC would be as follows:

Boise State 5-0 - Assuming Boise State beats Wyoming this weekend
Air Force - 5-1 - Assuming Air Force wins AT New Mexico next weekend
Wyoming 3-2 - Assuming Wyoming loses AT Boise State this weekend
Utah State - 3-2 - Assuming Utah State loses AT Fresno State this weekend

And since Air Force's 1 MWC loss this season (so far) was against Boise State that would effectively give Boise State a 1 1/2 game lead with 3 weeks left in the regular season. Even if Boise State lost one of their last four games they would still finish ahead of Air Force in the Mtn. West Mountain Division standings.

According to the MyTeamsBetter website Boise State is projected as a 55 % probability of beating Wyoming. Utah State is also projected as having a 55 % probability of beating Fresno State.

Air Force is projected as having a 78% probability of beating New Mexico.
