Red Sox Hall of Fame 2B Doerr dies at 99

Probably not too many people here old enough to have even heard of him. I lived in Boston 1959-61, and the Sox teams of 1946 and 48 were legendary to most people back then. I never saw Doerr play, though I did see Ted Williams in his last year.

I hope he lived a fruitful life and may he RIP having reached the ripe old age of 99.
