really fucking great voice and her style of music is just nice to listen to.

She sounds talented but this is so far removed from anything I'd voluntarily listen to. I don't even listen to Adele and she is about as talented as they come. Not sure I'm a fan of mixing sad white people music with a punk look. When I think of Gen X punk, it was pretty harsh on American foreign policy among other things. A pro-individual, down-with-the-man mentality. 'The Man' is listening to Billie Ellish in a Starbucks somewhere right now.

she is a bit of a sell out in that sort of way...

and I don't know if she is punk in the sense that she wants "damn the man" or if she just likes having green hair and is being a teenager

I was skeptical about this soft singing teen at first, but the more I listen to her the more I like her. We'll see if she's the real deal if she can maintain it. She sure can interpret a song, though, and you can't teach that.
