Alabama/LSU, followed very closely by Ohio State/michigan.
I feel like it's at least possible that OSU wins out until the Michigan game, Michigan loses to one of Penn State or Michigan State, then Michigan beats OSU to reach Big Ten Championship game, but then Ohio State still get in the playoff as an 11-1 team over a 11-2 Michigan team.

Not saying I think this will happen. But I love thinking about hypothetical situations.

I would be extremely surprised. Given that the game is in Columbus that's almost impossible. Unless there's absolute chaos throughout the rest of college football.

Which part would shock you, Michigan winning that game or OSU making the playoff even if they lose it?

Bama-LSU seems like the clear cut choice, although Bama could lose and still get in. Ohio State-Mich the loser is probably out, but we will have to see if blue can even make it to the game without another loss

1 loss osu will need some help. You’d need someone for the pac south to win and then a 2 or 3 loss big 12 champ. I’d think 2 loss Oklahoma champ trumps 1 loss Ohio state that didnt win their own division. If it’s West Virginia that’s still be a hard sell to a lot of people.

OSU making the playoff. It'd have to be somehow a 2-loss Bama losing to 1-loss UK in the SEC CCG with the other conferences all having two loss champs for the B1G to get two teams.

Well, I meant OSU getting in instead of Michigan in that scenario, not both of them making it. In that scenario it would be just like 2016 when 1-loss OSU made it in over 2-loss Penn State, even though Penn State beat them and were conference champs.

Its an under the radar game but I actually think whoever wins Saturday between NCState/Clemson goes undefeated and gets in the playoff.

The big differences there though were that PSU was destroyed by michigan, beaten by unranked Pitt, and beat OSU at home on a pretty flukey play in a game they were otherwise dominated in. OSU also had a top 10 OOC win over Oklahoma and two top 10 in conference wins. None of that's happening this year.

Yeah, true. Maybe a more accurate comparison would be last year with Bama and OSU then. But that's also a little harder to compare since there is no H2H or same conference in that year.

I think it's possible. None of them have any terribly difficult games on the schedule after each other. Even the potential ACC Championship Game would be against Virginia Tech or Miami in the most difficult scenario, and none of them are great.

Yeah it's damn near impossible. The only possible chance is if Iowa goes 12-1 beating an undefeated OSU in the B1G CCG. That would require Penn State to beat michigan and end up 9-3 (while losing to Iowa), and also probably Iowa State to win out and take the Big 12. If that happened, I could see it. Otherwise, there is just too much that would have to fall just right in the B1G East.

Based on history, it's most likely some game not even listed that nobody see's coming.

I'll take Georgia vs Auburn and Ohio St vs Maryland.

How could you possibly leave San Jose State vs. Fresno State off this list?
