But at least Bama and Clemson have something on the line beyond at best a booby prize and Oregon/Stanford is to stay undefeated in the north and give one of them the edge on fighting Washington for the division that IS going to win the Pac (yet again).

They are bowl eligible in 18 so....

Nope. This is year two of Liberty's move-up. Last year they were counted as an FCS school in transition to FBS; this year they are an FBS program in transition from FCS. Next year they will be bowl eligible.
