Well, Duh. Texas & Oklahoma can barely keep a straight face when they discuss expansion.
Although its not falling apart.

it is more like OKLAHOMA finally convinced Texas to leave.
Once Texas said "to hell with it, you win Sooners", the Longhorns magically dropped all objections to expansion.
OU has spent every waking moment in the last 4 years wearing down Texas' resistance.

The plan is to horribly rip-off whatever sucker takes a Big 12 invite with an incredibly lopsided deal.
Then they will challenge a weakened GOR in less than 4 years using some of that cash to pay whatever damages.

I think there are Sooner players today who will actually get to also play a PAC-14 schedule before they graduate.

I think that's interesting. And very possible. Texas seemed to flirt with alot of people during the last round of expansion.
