Yea, pretty sure you are either trolling or just stupid. A trained monkey can get to Morgantown pretty easily.

When you aren't flying in to Pittsburgh and going south, and instead going from Atlanta, it's not incredibly hard to find, but I did go long stretches without any cell service, which isn't the worst thing in the world, but it's a lot of rural areas.

So

OKLAHOMA and TEXAS have the exact same top two and the exact same vetoes.

I wonder who gets picked.

4 vetoes AND a zero (from Baylor) for Houston.

If this thing is truly what went down I cant see them getting in without some new info coming to light.

I would have to think that with Houston there is a line of caution of they are good right now the last 2 seasons but 2014 7-5 2013 8-5 2012 5-7 2011 13-1 2010 5-7 2009 10-4 2008 8-5
so its not like they have some huge run of success and maybe some of the schools voting aren't being blinded by the last 2 years.

The thing that surprises me about Houston, is that SURELY the BIG XII wants them, if for nothing else than to make sure that the SEC doesn't come in and grab up another Texas school.

I've never seen or heard where the SEC has had any interest in Houston

Yea the bigger threat with UH is the PAC nabbing them up for their network. The SEC is already fine n dandy in that area.

SEC has an edge in houston for sure.

Taking Houston would basically make it SEC territory.

The question is who else could they grab?

I guess a Central Florida or USF, but I bet UF/FSU would be unhappy about that.

Memphis might be the option there (in this random hypothetical scenario).

The SEC has been pretty consistent in only adding one school per state after the original members.

And they may not - but with it being in the 3rd largest U.S. Market, I would imagine if the BIG 12 doesn't take them, another Power 5 would surely LOVE to have them. I just mentioned SEC since we got A&M now and have migrated into the Texas/Mid-west area.

Yeah, that would also make sense for the Pac 12. I was just meaning the Big 12 should take Houston otherwise [insert Power 5 conference that's NOT the Big 12] could take them and now have a strong part of the state.

SEC already has about 80% of the Houston CFB TV market. At least that is what was reported recently. Why do they need Houston?

Again - I meant more of any power 5 would want that market so BIG 12 better wrap it up.

Big 12 is dead anyway. It just hasn't been buried yet.

I was just talking about this (from UConn's perspective).

UConn's best chance to be a major conference (since let's be honest, the B12 doens't make a ton of sense, but i'll take it) would be the P12 (or the SEC) raiding Texas and Oklahoma away.

The rest of the B12 could be the West, the'd grab some form of the AAC as the east and be the new B12.

Highly unlikely? Sure. But so is joining the B12 at this point.

The SEC doesn't want freaking Houston.

They have a rule in place where they don't double up states.

A&M is 1000 times more popular in Houston than the Cougars. They already have the TV Market.

.............

The BIG-10 and PAC-12 would not touch the horrible academics with a 10 foot pole.

The only chance for Houston is the Big 12 or ACC.....and neither is much of a chance.

So...good news for New Mexico State???
No that's bad news. New Mexico is in MWC and New Mexico State is in the Sun Belt for now. they are out in about 2 years. at which time they will be indi. had New Mexico left MWC for the Big XII, NMSU might have had a shot at the Mountain West.
at the same time there will be movement among AAC, CUSA, MAC, SunBelt and MWC in all likely hood so NMSU might still get a MWC or CUSA shot.

Is that a new rule? because last I checked Alabama, Miss, Tenn all have 2 schools in them in the SEC
