I meant to post this here, but it ended up in the BS thread:
Saw the sit down with tim beck about Taylor... Nothing groundbreaking, but he showed the difference between when taylor would push off with the wrong foot into his drop.
1. It would affect the depth of his drop making it more shallow. This means that A. He feels the rush more than he should. B. His timing with his receivers is off because when he is set, the receivers aren't even coming out of their breaks yet. This causes him to panic, scramble, and do things like throw across his body resulting in interceptions
2. It causes his shoulders to tilt backwards. When he reaches his final step his shoulders are aimed at the sky instead of forwards in a power position to be able to step and throw. Simply pushing off his left foot instead of leading with it completely fixes this problem.
He showed an example of both ways Taylor has done it. "Same play, entirely different looking quarterback." - DiNardo
Baffles me how you can't fix this mid season and have to wait till after, but what do I know?
