Some intriguing notes about this conference tournament:

Chris Clemons(Campbell) leads the nation in scoring.
High Point is coached by Tubby Smith, could lead his 6th different team to the tournament, which I would guess is record.
This is Hampton's inaugural appearance in the Big South tournament after previously being in the MEAC.
Radford owns wins over Notre Dame and Texas this year.
Winthrop has won 10 of the last 20 Big South tournaments, after having only won one in the first 13 tournaments.

Campbell is called the Fighting Camels, that's reason enough to root for them to win this

not sure what the deal with Kelsey is. Is he content at just being a HC in the Big South? I know Skip Prosser's death devastated him and made him worried about the stress that high level college coaches have to deal with.

if he wants to move up, i think this is the year to do it.

So, is this the play in for a play in game?

Alot of that depends on what happens in the other small leagues. For example if South Dakota State were to have won the Summit they would have been on the 13/14 line. If a team like Western Illinois wins the Summit League they are a shoe in for Dayton. I would say the winner of this game will probably be a 16 seed, but skipping Dayton. I would say the NEC, SWAC, MEAC and MAAC winner will be in Dayton no matter who wins their respective league tournaments. I actually think the winner of this could potentially get on the 15 line, both of these teams have better resume than what Campbell would have if they would have won the league, which is crazy considering they were the #1 seed.

Gardner Webb looking in control so far. Have been all game but Radford is such a good tournament team. Can't count them out.
