Not a very good league this year.

BE took them behind the woodshed.

The Big10s potentially 11th best team is currently doing unspeakable things to Ok State.

Kansas is one of the best teams and the Baylor has played great. But no other team looks real impressive.

It's typically like that in the Big 12.

Kansas, and one good other team which varies year to year.

The league is similar to BE in that it's strength is balance. No teams are really horrible.

But I agree, this year they are a bit overrated metric wise. You have KU and Baylor, and then I've not been impressed with much else.

The conference doesn't look very good this year. Not lousy, but not near what it was last year. JMO

WVU is solid too. Baylor, KU, WVU are all going to make the tourney and my guess is 2-3 more will as well from the group of TTU, ISU. OU and OKST

Tech may be by the end of the year but they are young and still a work in progress. I went up and watched their games with Tenn St and Southern Miss. Neither game was pretty. But, they do have some talent if........

Haven't seen ISU at all but the Oklahoma schools don't look to swift either.

All that said, once conference starts, I'm sure they'll whack each other off.

Baylor is definitely legit right now tho.

I haven't been able to watch them in full much this year. But they are simply collecting wins.

    Really, impressive.

Yea, they're good. They should be undefeated but totally choked a game away at Washington which I saw.

Incidentally, I think I heard the BE is 12-3 vs the Big 12 this year, and Baylor has 2 of those wins, lol.

Iowa State has the 3rd (over Seton Hall), but the Cyclones still suck this year. Heading for a last place finish in the Big Xii this year. Unbelievably bad.

Haha they aint getting last. Hell, they already have a road win.

They need a miracle to make the tourney as of right now. But I think ISU finishes 8th at worst and right now I'd pick they get 6th or 7th.

Their guard play was ridiculous today. KU couldn't stop them one on one. I've watched them a couple times this year, today and against Butler. They've definitely improved since that Butler game.

Whatcha talking about Willis? The Cyclones are (0-2) in the Big Xii. Literally choked away a win @ TCU in Regulation (lost in OT) and clubbed like baby seals @ Hilton by KU. Hilton Magic is dead, and the Cyclones are headed to their worst season in a long time. Tongiht, it's OU's turn to embarrass the Cyclones @ Hilton.

It was. And Baylor is playing much better defense than they have in previous years IMHO.

Went up to Lubbock Tuesday to watch the Baylor-Tech game with one of my golfing buddies. While Tech isn't an offensive juggernaut this year, Baylor locked them down pretty well.

As of a week or so ago, Oregon and Baylor were the only schools with Football, Men's/Women's Basketball all ranked in the top 10. I think that says more about some of the "biggies" needing to step it up than it does about those two. JMO.

I bet against them twice and lost money both times so I'm betting them to cover here on out, which they did in Fog Allen easily.

Not sure how things will pan out for them long term, as might be indicated by some of today's results,

but WVU seems to be pretty solid. They did lose today to a pretty non-impressive Kansas St team(#103 in the NET), but before that their only losses were to #2 in the NET rankings Kansas, and #75 ranked in the NET, St Johns, both were road games, and they have wins vs #17 in the NET, Wichita St(who also lost today), #18 in the NET, Ohio St(who also lost today), #32 in the NET, Texas Tech, #37 in the NET, N Iowa and #39 in the NET Akron.

Now all those losses will hurt the ranking of WVU, #12 in the NET, but not significantly and that's still 5 wins over Top 40 NET ranked teams, and a 5-1 record vs Top 40 ranked NET teams, 9-2 vs Top 100 ranked teams, with one bad loss, the one to KSU today. But KSU, at #103 could possibly move into the Top 100 and stay there, which would mean no bad losses. At this rate, I'd say WVU could finish out the season at a Top 3/4 seed.
