N/S is a lot of traveling for us..
E/W leaves us in a weaker division..
The division would be historically weaker than the other.. not necessarily weaker football..
The way they have it split now is good, it leaves rivalries and creates more national interest with historic powers having potential to fight for the division title..
the name was the only thing they got wrong.
East and West and forget about geography.. it's close enough..
so we should focus divisional fairness on one year of college football??
it wouldn't be a lack of geographical knowledge.. one division is positioned more eastward, and one more westward...
or the could do NW and SE with Nebraska, Iowa, Minn., wisconsin, mich and mich st, in the NW
ya, didn't really think that one all the way through..
still think the division split is fine..
under a strict east/west split, what would they do if they added more teams across the east line? keep moving divisions around?
