I have really missed seeing baseball games other than the All-Star game over the past four days and I am really looking forward to tonight's games, particularly Baltimore at my Rangers. Looking at the schedule, however, I'd say that the Pirates at the Reds figures to be perhaps the most interesting series this weekend, beginning with Liriano v. Leake tonight. What do you say, baseball fans?

Lots of reasons to watch tonight, aside from needing a fix after what feels like 2 years without baseball.

Dodges vs Nats: Nolasco starts (second start in LA?) vs Strasburg. Should be interesting
Yankees vs bosox always a good one to watch
A's vs Angels...fun to watch because of our Rangers, hope hated Angels beat A's to help?
THen the two you called out will both be good.

Honestly at this point I would sit down and watch the Astros/Mariners game...just give me baseball.

Point well taken about needing a baseball fix, Fordman, and those are some other good series that you cite. Strasburg was awful in his last start, so it will be interesting to see how he fairs against what has become a pretty potent LAD lineup. Weaver v. Griffin also figures to be interesting. Personally, I'm expecting the Red /Sox to send a message to NYY this weekend, but who knows? D-backs at SFG also ought to be pretty good, but I'm surprised that AZ is going with Kennedy tonight. From what I've seen of him this year, he really doesn't give his team much of a chance to win.

It's Nolasco's third start.

That looks to me like the best series of the weekend. That NLC division race figures to be epic. Three very good teams.

Snakes @ Giants is HUGE.

If the Giants don't take at least 2, the front office will likely go into sell-mode. Not sure if any series at this time of year can have more riding on it.

Give me a call in a week.

If we fall out of it, him, Timmeh and Romo will all likely be available (for the right price)

If I were king of all of baseball, I would make this trade, as I feel it helps both teams, and addresses team needs for both.

The Giants trade Lincecum to the Tigers, in exchange for young Miguel Cabrera clone Avisail Garcia and their closer of the future, Bruce Rondon. The Tigers then use Lincecum as a closer going forward, which fills really the only hole in that lineup. In exchange, the Giants get 2 young up and comers, one that should turn into a power hitting corner OF guy, and the other to be groomed to take over from Romo.

And, for the Giants, they will save a lot of $$ on these guys initially, that would free up $$ to address even further needs.

I am probably a one man wolf pack on this one, but still, to me, it makes sense.

My take on that is a little different. I say root for the A's to sweep my Angels, you guys TCB and the Angels would pretty much be out of it and it comes down to you and the A's. Angels sweep they're 8 or 9 games back and would be riding a 3 game winning streak with Minny coming to town.
