Rap and Hip Hop have replaced rock as the dominant music among today's listeners. It is no accident that the biggest crowds are drawn to classic rock concerts.

Its sad where music has gone. My 9th grader just started getting into classic rock. Really likes Boston, Queen, and a few others. Thinking of getting her a record player with some vinyls to start a collection.

Pop music has always sucked.

I actually think it's the golden age of music, due to the accessibility to that which IS NOT POPULAR, or radio-driven. There is still tons of great music, you just gotta know where to look.
