I looked back 5 pages and didn't see anything. Rank the top 5 pizza places in your home town (neighborhood, I guess, if you're in NYC or something).

Why? Why not. Also, because I need to get back to exploring different pizza places around. Trying to eat healthier is stupid.

1. Adriaticos
2. Paulie G's
3. Yellowbrick
4. Mikey's
5. Rubino's (figured I'd have to put one cracker crust on here)

Some of my selections are also nostalgia based.

I actually miss Godfathers in central Illinois. Thay had a good buffet. Now we can get personal Godfathers pizzas at the Hucks gas stations around here. Still tasty. Dominos is cheap with their toppings, guess why they can do $5.99 pies.

Mod pizza just opened a new store close to us... Very interesting place but not sure I would put it top 5.

In coastal Delaware, I've only had it from Pie, Pomodoro and Grotto. They're all pretty good, with Pie standing out with a nice, thin crust and tastier toppings. Pie also has a bar with a number of local craft beers on tap.

I did end up going to Grandma's Pizza yesterday. It's definitely not the best in town, but it's decent pizza, better than the Papa John's (won a free pizza from them last night), Pizza Hut, etc of the world. And it only costs $9.99 for a large.

Papa John's was awesome back when it first started and wasn't a national chain. That, or it had been so long since I had any other pizza it just felt that way.

When I joined the military I went to basic at Ft Knox and I had never heard of it. We had basic and ait together, and after about like 8 weeks of basic they started to allow us to order pizza, and Papa Johns was what they would order. It was by far better than the other pizza delivery places. I was eating that shit almost daily for the last month I was there.

And yet, I can not eat Papa John's today. I do not like it at all, it's not the same pizza and it's not very good IMO. Sucks.

This looks really good.

I lived in Anniston when I was a kid, but it was like 1981, so probably before it opened.

I remember having it for tge first time while on vacation in 91 or 92 and being amazed by it. The pizza itself was great but the crust was amazing fresh baked bread and the garlic butter dipping sauce was the best thing i ever had. They finally opened a franchise in our area in like 97. I don't know if the if the novelty wore off, but by then it was just a very good pizza. Certainly better than the other chains, but not like a destination to get excited about. In college from 99 to 2003 it was the only pizza place that stayed open until 4 am, everything else closed at 2. So i ordered a shit load of drunk pizza through the years after the bar. Somewhere in there they stopped having garlic butter and started giving you "special garlic dipping sauce." Im sure it is (slightly) more healthy for you, but isn't nearly as good as the old stuff.
