Now, let's sit back and see who signs them. Once again, real active in FA to start the period off. CBA went up, Dalton will be traded or released, Glenn and his 10 million are gone. There is room to work. That puts us at what? Nearly 60 million under the cap? Am I close? Even with the AJ Green franchise tag if Dalton's 17.7 million is discarded?

If they strike out on F/A - then they absolutely should be trading AJ for more draft capital.

I mean, you don't have to throw around stupid money - but if you are going to draft Burrow - then signing at least ONE top tier OL would seem to be a MUST. Investing in a 1st round QB and then failing to properly protect him is flat out stupid.

Then again - I guess I shouldn't be so surprised.

Evidently the Bengals were pretending to be involved in FA for linebackers.... But unwilling to spend the extra cash.

A lot of perceptions about this franchise are wrong or overstated. But a lot of perceptions are spot on - The notion that the Bengals will not spend enough in FA is very real and it can be argued that it is holding them back.

Nick Kwiatikoski went to the Raiders for 3 years, 21 million.... That's only 5 million more than we paid Bobby Fucking Hart for three years.

I don't know.... Seems clear he is heading for either the Bears or Patriots. I'm guessing he will be moved for a mid-round pick this season (4th or 5th round) and a conditional pick for the next season based on performance. Too many talented qbs out there for a bidding war.
