Best NFL rivalries ?

Any era.. any teams.. who are / or were the best NFL rivalries??

Cowboys - Skins ?
Jets - Patriots ?
Packers - Chiefs (one of the first rivalries )

I'm partial, but I have to say for all time ours (dallas) has to be the Skins. In the 90's, nothing beat the 49ers-Dallas rivalry, but over all of history the Skins.

If you can literally throw the records out and either team could win, then it is a good rivalry.

I agree Ford, Cowboys and skins is a classic.. the 70's were brutal.. the formation of americas team vs the hogs.. it was as close to war with out being in the service.. there was true hate between the teams..

one that has surprised me as not being a rivalry is san fran vs oakland.. sure they are in different conferences but they are right across the bay from each other.. maybe its cause the raiders were in LA .. but you dont hear much about it.

Used to be Lions-Packers, but one of those teams spent the last 50 years shitting the bed, so it's been more like genocide lately. Hope them times are a changin'.

Steelers/Ravens is a fun one but I think it has to go to the NFC East and NFC North respectively. Pretty much every team hates the other team's in their division with a passion.

Packers-Chiefs or Packers-Lions are top rivalries, but Packers-Bears (the two winningest franchises in wins and titles, as well as the most played rivalry and the biggest rivalry to both fans) isn't? What?

Packers and Bears fought it out yes.. i was referring to the first few superbowls.. im not discounting anyones choice.. just asking for opinions.. yours is Packers - Bears..

Steelers - Ravens has been a pretty good one for a while.

Giants - Eagles gets pretty nasty.

Broncos - Chiefs is a good one

There have been some pretty good non-divisional rivalries over the years too like Steelers - Patriots, 49ers - Cowboys... Broncos - Browns was a pretty good one in hte '80's.

I wouldn't call it one of the "best" rivalries, but the NFL actually had to get rid of the 49er - Raider preseason games because there was so much hatred it was actually dangerous.

49ers - Seahawks has the potential to become a good one since they're both really good & have the Jim Harbaugh - Pete Carroll Pac-10 thing going for 'em. Maybe it'll be a good one... some time... in the future... by the year 2000.
