I figure a list like this is pretty good to share good games that you've played. I mostly played 360, PS4 and PC for the decade so I don't have any Nintendo games.

Best Action-Adventure: Witcher 3
Runner Up: Spider-Man (PS4)

Best Tactical Game: X-Com 2: War of the Chosen
Runner Up: Divinity Original Sin 2

Best RPG: Mass Effect 2
Runner Up: Prey

Best Shooter: Call of Duty Black Ops 2
Runner Up: Doom (2016)

Best Platformer: Rayman Legends
Runner Up: Sonic Mania+

Best Ending: Red Dead Redemption
Runner Up: Nier Automata

So what are your favorite games of the past 10 years?

Agreed, but I didn't play enough MMOs to accurately rank them. I liked FF14ARR but thats really the only one I put time into.

Unless you count Destiny. I played a ton of that but I generally dont like how they've handled that IP.

Destiny, i dont really count that as any sort of RPG, granted it tried, i put that more in the FPS with large scale coop missions/grinding. More of a shooter looter like Borderlands.

Though i think Borderlands 2 owns that Category.

I think instead of runner up maybe biggest fail

Both Destiny and Borderlands 3 have way better gameplay than Borderlands 2 but I do tend to agree that BL2 is currently the best Looter shooter. For now. I think if BL3 gets a really good DLC then maybe I'd change my mind.

I think I might actually have Destiny 2 on PC as a better overall experience than BL2 but you really have to be into the Strikes, Raids and PVP for it to be better.

Both Destiny and Borderlands 3 have way better gameplay than Borderlands 2 but I do tend to agree that BL2 is currently the best Looter shooter. For now. I think if BL3 gets a really good DLC then maybe I'd change my mind.

i put BL3 Down for a bit, i am waiting to see what they release. Been playing MW, havent played this much COD since BO2

THink its a personal list. I am still coming up with mine and having a spirited discussion at the same time 10 years is a long time to go back though (as far as gaming is concerned)

I just looked up a top 100 of the decade list, and have come to the realization that I don't play good games.

Games I played:
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (2010) – I played it a few months I think. Then stopped playing WOW all together.
Overwatch (2016) – I still play it.
Diablo III (2014 –xbox) – I still play it some. It continues to get new content.
Apex Legends – Still play it, but not much
A few maddens
I played a few of the COD games, but nothing within the past 3 years
I played several of those free xbox games, but never really got into any of them. Games i find to be boring, I just uninstall (fallout comes to mind).


That’s about it for the decade. Of those I have played, I’d put Overwatch at the top.

Its definitely worthy of that label. It also makes me skeptical about the sequel because its going to be hard to top.

It would be that or Red Dead Redemption for ending for me. The return to normalcy then....was a beautiful ending

FWIW, The Last of Us was the only other game I even considered. I moved away from the 'dad games' though because its almost its own genre now.

CS:GO has had great legs in terms of popularity

League of legends too and has been amazing as an esport

Single player RDR2 is the best I can think of
