They throw this topic out there in Sports radio land.

What are some of your favourite Superbowls or Superbowl memories? I'm sure most people would say Montana's drive against the Bengals...

Recently, I'd have to say Superbowl 42 was my favourite one. Watching the Cheaters get their hearts ripped out & going 18-1 at the last minute was friggn' amazing. I don't think I've ever cheered so loudly for a non-49er team.

Superbowl 43 was a great game, but I was pissed the Steelers won. And it wasn't as blatant as their win against Seattle, but the ref's handed 'em that victory IMO.

Of the top of my head; all the 49er ones and then probably 42.

Anyone that the patriots lost is memorable. Favorite was 9ers vs chargers too young for other 9er ones

The Panthers / Pats SB was friggn' annoying. The Cats had that game in the bag! But they let it out of the bag (pun intended). :(

The first 49er super bowl, just because it was their first. Also the one against the dolphins because leading up to it many people thought the dolphins offense would just go nuts and the 49ers offense was completely overlooked. Then the 2nd Bengals Super Bowl, then the Steve Young one, because it was so fantastic to see him get a win, then 42 because I hate the patriots.

Favourite? Are you British, Sick?

The second Niners-Bengals Super Bowl is the most memorable for me. The Niners-Broncos Super Bowl is also a great memory, too, because of the perfection the Niners displayed that day and the fact that the Niners accomplished back-to-back titles.

As far as non-Niner Super Bowls, my favorite is the Broncos-Packers Super Bowl. Packers were huge favorites, and it was good to see Elway going all out (remember the hit where he got spun like a helicopter) and finally winning one. Plus, I was still bitter about Favre and the Packers beating us a couple years earlier.

Not british. Born & raised in northern California. Just like olde English & try not to omit the U whenever I remember...

The Broncos - Packers SB was a good one. Outside of McNabb & Michael Vick, nobody in the history of the NFL got more undeserved hype than Brett Favre. And that was when John Madden was doing the colour commentary for Fox (see what I did there?). It was great to see hm get beaten and never get back there. :)

There haven't been many good ones. They're usually blowouts. Non-9ers, I'd have to say the miracle win for Eli that left New England 18-1 (we went 18-1 once, the difference was we actually finished). Peyton's SB's were boring. The TB/Oak SB was boring. The Ravens SB was boring. I hate the Pats, so their SB's were boring, and made me angry.

After the NYG/Pats 18-1 SB, I'd say the Rams/Titans was awesome (fuck the fucking Rams), and the GB/Den game were the next best.

You'd have to go back to before most of this board was born to find another good SB, though.

My Favorite was the Niners Smashing the Dolphins... All the media slurping Marinos nutsack and Joe and the Niners came out and put the boy in his place. After that... The Raiders Bucs Superbowl. After listening to all my Raider Fan Friends talk shit incessantly up to the game to see them get beat like bitches....priceless.

Raiders/bucs because its the oldest Super Bowl that I remember watching. And then the giants/patriots when the patriots went 18-1. Because I hate the patriots

That game always felt suspicious to me.

How do you kickoff and have the ball wind up out of bounds and conveniently setup the Pats for a game winning FG.

The 1997 Super Bowl was fun to watch... and better yet was listening to a call-in TV show after the game with my brother and laughing at their fans crying and just carrying on.

The 1994 Super Bowl was kinda bland, it seemed like it was over after 2 minutes. I mean that was fun to watch as a 49er fan, but kinda boring as a football fan.

Man, I don't think I've watched a Super Bowl since 1998. Like sat down and watched the whole thing I mean...

XXV, XXVI, XXVII, XVIII

I know we lost all of them but that was really the last time the game mattered to me.

I remember one time Joe Montana was doing game analysis alongside Jim Kelly. I think Rich Eisen was the host. He dropped this line:

"Joe, you were in four Superbowls too, and won them..." Jim Kelly just nodded at that & tried not to look embarrassed. My buddy & were roaring with laughter. :)

Poor Jim.

Didn't Jim Kelly get knocked out of 2 of those games?

I just looked, just one of the games against the Cowboys

one of the more entertaining ones for me was Pats/Panthers... bomb after bomb for late finish.... fun game indeed.

An all time favorite SB? so hard to say, the blowouts, close finishes, tightly contested ones....

Perhaps the Pats beating the Rams... such an upset(starting with the tuck rule)... just sheer epicness while your a Pats fan or not
