For me:

Vince Carter
Jason Richardson
Michael Jordan
Dr. J
Dominique Wilkins
Shawn Kemp
James White
Blake Griffin

All these dudes added something different to the game with their dunks.
Shawn Kemp lead to Blake Griffin.
MJ lead to Vince
Nique lead to J-Rich
Dr. J lead to James White

But all of them deserve recognition. White is probably the only really fringe NBA player to make the list for me, but the rest were all very solid NBA stars for a while, with the exception of J-Rich who was a quality starter his entire career.

Can we have a serious conversation around here without some asinine take....

Jackie Moon never dunked. It was only Coffee black. How can we consider Jackie Moon in the conversation. Be realistic.

For style and grace, I'd go with Vince

For raw power, it has to be Shaq for me.

That's a really good way to separate dunkers overall. You have guys like Vince, 'Nique, etc. who were almost artistic. Then you had guys like Shaq who dunked so powerfully, he could tear the damn building down. lol

Both are equally awesome, imo. Just different styles.

I always liked Harold Miner in the dunk contests. Athleticism with power and speed. Too bad his career never equaled his dunking, lol.

Not overly showy, but just made sure he got up there and threw it down with authority no matter who was defending: Darryl Dawkins.

And, oh yeah, all that glass....Why they invented the new rim.

Loved him at USC and thought he'd really be pretty special.

In the end, I think all of the "Baby Jordan" stuff was more than he could handle.

Dawkins might have to be the winner considering he actually would give his dunks specific names

I would actually add a 3rd category for guys like Shawn Kemp for artistic power.

I would put Nique in that category too. He always dunked like he was mad at the rim.

I am sure that would have been spectacular if he didn’t slip.
Not a slip. Snapped his patellar when he planted. Snapped his humerus when he landed on his arm.

Ouch.

I stand corrected.

Some people just weren’t meant to be high flyers I guess.
