The Cubs are 27-20 in their last 47 and lost 8 games in the standings lolright now it is not even close, its the NL Central... but id still give it to the NL WEST... the brewers are the best record in baseball, but they are on a historic streak(for them)... cant be calling a team the best in baseball when they are in their big streak...

They're also 35-12 in their past 47 toothe brewers are on an 11 game winnning streak and broke their all time HOME winning streak...
right now they are scary... and with those three pitchers, they will remain scary...
but you still cant judge them based on what they are doing right now.... no team should ever be judged during their biggest streaks whether winning or losing...
They're also 35-12 in their past 47 too
That's a large sample size for a season
I think it's possible both teams win 97+ this year and wouldn't shock me at all if the Central gets 3 in the playoffs either
This is true as long as willing to overlook AL is +21 vs. the NL.National League is better than the American League this year. I’ll take the NL Central
6 of the top 10 teams are in the NL. Raw records is a flawed and limited analysis. This is true as long as willing to overlook AL is +21 vs. the NL.
so is thinking you know who 6 of the top 10 teams are with certainty. Can make a case Boston is top 10 and TB and Seattle are among top 12. Why is it about top 10 and not 12 or a different cut off?6 of the top 10 teams are in the NL. Raw records is a flawed and limited analysis.
There is no spanking.so is thinking you know who 6 of the top 10 teams are with certainty. Can make a case Boston is top 10 and TB and Seattle are among top 12. Why is it about top 10 and not 12 or a different cut off?
H2H with an AL spanking so far should be ignored in determining which league is better?
Ya gotta love this forum.
That’s because the 2nd place team in the other AL divisions are mediocre garbage. The Red Sox and Rays are AL Wildcard teams by default. It’s a tough call - I think the Central may be better at the moment but it seems like it’s a two team race between the Brewers and Cubs, they are two of MLBs best teams, but I doubt the Cards and Reds can get into the postseason. The AL East is more open and has 4 teams I could see having a shot at the playoffs.
That's some serious goal post moving with your "logic" easily refuted. I never ride coat tails of division, conference, league etc. in any sport. Will I watch some baseball if my team is good? Yeah...I'll watch my team. But baseball right now gets us from end of NBA to football. There is no spanking.
Listen, I root for a real baseball franchise that’s committed to winning with a great ball park and a great fanbase. You need this coattail riding more than I do as a fan of a team that will never compete for anything of value. You can have it.
why do 2nd place teams mean so much bot not 3rd and 4th place? RSox and Rays are postseason worthy teams and likely better than Reds and Cardinals. That’s because the 2nd place team in the other AL divisions are mediocre garbage. The Red Sox and Rays are AL Wildcard teams by default.
And neither the Yankees nor the Blue Jays are better than the Cubs or the Brewers.why do 2nd place teams mean so much bot not 3rd and 4th place? RSox and Rays are postseason worthy teams and likely better than Reds and Cardinals.
