I'll go with Julio Jones - because he is the obvious pick. ;)

This is an unfair comparison. Julio Jones has already proven himself at the NFL level. 848 catches, 12,896 yards, 60 TD's. Those are HOF numbers. But if you wanna only go by college stats then it's Smith.

I took it as the best in their time in Tuscaloosa given that Waddle and Smith aren’t even out of the nest yet.

That makes sense.

Are we taking college or NFL?

Best Alabama college WR ever is Devonta Smith. Julio was great in college but he played on a team that ran the ball over 70% of the time.

NFL WR? Well so far I suppose we have to say Julio Jones as Smith wouldn't qualify in this question yet.

Early in the college football season ESPN asked 3 analyst to give a Mt. Rushmore of Alabama WR.s'.

2 of 3 left Smith off. The 3rd mocked them in disbelief. I am guessing none of the 3 would leave Smith off now. I think those two that didn't have Smith had Jerry Jeudy. One dude even had David Palmer on there before Smith. Smith was blowing up at this point, so kind of dumb they left him off, but no way if they were asked the question again would they leave him off. I mean stat wise Jeudy was a better college WR then Jones, but you knew when you saw Jones in HS he was likely to be in insane NFL WR based on size and speed. Just depends on what kind of offense you play in, in college in terms of how well you will produce.
