If I was picking my top 10:

KAJ
Dream
Wilt
Shaq
Jokic
Robinson
Moses
Ewing
Russell
Mcadoo

If I redid the list tomorrow order would change outside the top 3. Not 100% on Mcadoo. Maybe Gilmore instead

Jabbar is the GOAT when you factor "everything" into the equation
Russell is the greatest Winner and the GOAT Defender (among ALL players, not just C)
Dream is the best 2-way Center (Offense/Defense combined)

And elite offense is more valuable in the NBA than elite defense.

Maybe in today's Era, where the rules in place heavily favor the Offense... but certainly not historically.

Jordan and Phil Jackson are on record stating that the Bulls' Defense was most responsible for their success (ie; Defense wins Championships)... and it's no coincidence the Celtics didn't win squat before Russell arrived (when Boston had a top-rated Offense but a weak Defense), yet as soon as Russell joined their Defense ranked #1 every year, and Boston won 11 Championships in 13 years... while "elite Scorer" Wilt only won 2 rings.

Oh, by all means, feel free to break down how they came short in the mid-50s. And I suppose the arrival of Red Auerbach had nothing to do with the turnaround?

God, you're full of s***...but I guess we already knew that from your politics posts.

I loved Shaq when he was on the Lakers for his dominance and fun loving personality but even I can admit his dominance was too short to be considered the GOAT among C's.

I'd have to go with Kareem. The skyhook was unstoppable and his longevity (uh oh, I said it LOL) was also a factor.....

Imagine what his stats would look like if he had been able to go straight to the NBA from high school, or even after only 1 or 2 seasons in college.

Shaq was fun, but KAJ definitely had a better work ethic...

Woulda been fun seeing him play in the modern day...

To be fair, pretty much everybody had a better work ethic. lol
LOL!

It was sad to see him start breaking down and putting on the weight.

Saddest case of eating themself out of the league: Shawn Kemp

Best in game dunker I ever saw....Vince is 2nd and its close. I stick with the Rain Man though.

McAdoo and Gilmore would be close for #10, though, if he had better health, I would have put Walton in over either one

Lol didn't your list. We were kinda close...

And did forget about Bill Walton. He was definitely a good one...playing for UCLA notwithstanding... :heh:
