What bee's nest? He was asked about the situation and answered it. He also has a week and a half before he plays another game.

Really vague way to start a thread. I thought this was going to be about Michael Bennett talking trash.

Obviously Bennett is right. Its the same in other sports, too. In the NBA, tiny guards go into the paint and they get calls all of the time that bigger players dont get.

It's only been up for an hour and you are already annoyed with it ..just like his teammates will be when they get asked about his comments.

I don't think there was really anything wrong with what Suh did... looked like just took a step back and stepped on Rodgers without knowing he was there

That being said, he has a history of dirty play, so the NFL probably just keeps a real close eye on that stuff

I'm sure a lot of people agree with him, so I don't see his comments here as a big deal. The league might as well have flag football rules just for the QB. It's ridiculous, but it would be more fair than flagging defensive players so often that it's hard for them to play real football anymore.

There hasn`t been any real football since Goodell got here.

I agree with what he had to say. There is also star treatment for many offensive players. That's what makes the CB position one of the toughest positions to play. They're basically supposed to escort the receiver down the field after 5 yards. Only to try and make a play at the last second. That's what makes shutdown corners like Sherman such an asset.

Which is the reason it's incredible seeing teams still play good defense .... It's beyond annoying how easy receivers have it in the NFL nowdays .... Then people want to cry about db's getting a bit physical with hooking and grabbing a bit ... Well, throw defenses a effin bone ... Receivers run right at them initiating contact most of the dam time ... Obviously if it's a blatant hold call it, but these tick tack effin rules are BS and have nothing to do with player safety .... It's all about helping offensive numbers PERIOD

+1.

I still REALLY want the NFL to throw flags when receivers get up crying for a flag. It should be unsportsmanlike conduct. The BLATANT pass interferences are generally always called. It's the ones that are generally VERY ticky tack that refs always throw a flag on due to a big name WR throwing a tantrum.

Totally agree .... These receivers making calls for the refs is BS .... They cry over every slight bit of contact even if it's incidentle .... NFL competition committee is out of there effin minds .... Without defense it's just guys playing catch ....

So you say the rules are bullshit and are only to help the offensive numbers.
And who ultimately dictated these changes? ..I'll give you a hint. It's right in your bathroom above the sink.

Why whine?

First of all, the rules are skewed but is it a coincidence that the only one's benefitting from the rule changes are the elite quarterbacks who would be great in any era. Guys like Manning, Brady, Roders, Brees etc, don't really benefit from those rules and they are the only one's breaking records. That's not a coincidence

If it was as bad as you say than qb's like Mark Sanchez or Jay Cutler would be lighting up the scoreboards and record books and they aren't.

Second, defense still wins championships. Why are Seahawks fans complaining about rule changes when they just won a super bowl on the strength of an elite, physical all time great defense?

More importantly, during the postseason, when it matters the most, they don't call those "ricky tack" penalties which totally favors the defense.

Good defense always beats good offenses, no matter how good the offense is.

You better be referring to Goodelle ... Blaming Seattle is weak sauce .... Even with the tick tack rules who has the #1 defense again the the NFL ? Let me give you a hint .... LOB ... How you can still apply that same argument is kinda laughable ... You should appreciate seeing such a great defense in this era ....

I love good defense. But NFL viewership just goes up and up as they make changes that benefit the offense.
It would seem the NFL is giving the fans what they are asking for.

Not at all. Just hate to see a player start a avoidable distraction going into the playoffs.
