He's 29 years old and had 7 years and 8 teams in the NFL to show he could even come close to that. How is it the strawman? Is he not the backup? Has he not had plenty of shots in the NFL and is old by running back standards and hasn't shown to be any more than a journeyman?

Also "zero basis behind any of it." Are we forgetting Conner ended 2017 on IR? Not to mention he'll blow through a career high in touches. Young backs breaking down then isn't uncommon.

You're better than throwing fits. No one is saying it's fool-proof or that there are possible problems. But I'd rather roll those dice on a team with a strong leadership group to keep him in line than risk having a guy who is has been a career backup for 8 seasons be the guy.
