Wilson has twice had 4000/30/500 seasons, 15 yards short of doing it three times, no other QB has ever dd that once,. Wilson is among the best we have ever seen and already in the top 20 with TD passes.

Give a point for....

65 completion%
4000 passing yards
400 rushing yards
pro bowls
100 QB Rating

In his nine seasons Wilson would score over 30 points, nobody else really all that close when talking first nine seasons.

And unlike Rodgers and Brady he walked right in and took over.
It's a shame that one heart crushing interception undermines those stats.

Somehow beating out Matt Flynn doesn't have the same cachet as playing behind Favre or Bledsoe for a spell.

You missed the point which was Wilson had no time to watch and learn he had to learn under fire, and he did a great job doing that.

You realize who Rodgers and Brady played behind right? And Brady was a 6th round pick.....not like he was expected to do much from day 1.

Doesn't matter, there Wilson was as a rookie trying to figure things out. While Rodgers/Brady had some time to sit and watch.

I missed no point.

What you missed is that he had to since Seattle had sweet fuck all else.

His rookie season was also statistcally one of his worst. Not that I wouldn't have loved to have had that season in NE this year.

That's why they were run heavy. That was time spent learning. Some would argue it is time better spent than holding a clipboard?

You totally missed the point, the point......Wilson jumped right into the fire from day one, that can't be said about Rodgers, Brady or Mahomes.

What's the point of the point you're trying to make? Many QBs have done this. Many still will.

The best QB's in the NFL are Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Russell Wilson, but.......Wilson is the only one of that elite gang who started from day one.

Wilson's first nine years superior to anyone elses.

Big fucking deal. Even if he shit the bed he was all they had. The Seattle geniuses power base had just tossed stupid shekels at Flynn because he had one big game in relief.

I'm not saying the Wee One is shit on a stick.

But Seattle is lucky as fuck he worked out, because otherwise they were well and truly fucked.

Russell Wilson left the college game as the all time passing efficiency leader for a season. Then he stepped off the bus in Seatle and tied the NFL TD record for a rookie and inside two seasons wins a Superbowl. At no time did the guy sit and ponder the situation he just took charge and is STILL the only QB in history to have over 100 passer rating his first two pro seasons. Two SB's his first three seasons, and has yet to miss a game. Nobody has won more games in their first nine pro seasons.

Cat in a bonafide stud.

You remind of a poster called Great Dayne. He was a big RW booster.

Was Bledsoe that good of a QB to sit behind for Brady?

Those are also three examples of teams that still had highly functional (or better) QBs. Seattle let Hasselbeck go the year prior and had no answer at QB, leaving Seattle to pick from newly added (but hardly proven) Flynn, Tarvaris (traded to Buffalo) and Wilson. The Seahawks had just spent early picks on the o-line (and trading for Lynch), along with drafting KJ, Sherman, and Maxwell the year prior (of course, landing those OL on the IR didn't help), then adding Irvin and Wagner in Wilson's draft. Whether or not he had time to sit and learn, he was a 4 year college starter after a redshirt true freshman season coming into a 7-9 team with an established RB. They went 11-5, undefeated at home and went to the second round of the playoffs. It's not like Wilson was thrown to the Wolves on a 2-14 team.

He had just signed a 10 year, $103M contract. Brady was an afterthought and might never have become anything if not for Bledsoe's injury.

Yeah, Brady would have never fought to become a starting QB ever again because he's not competitive or good enough.

Watch Bill call Pete and make an offer.....LOL.

Then the Pats would have plenty of time to find and groom the next QB.

We obviousy know the situation, that isn't the point. Wilson for whatever reason did start from day one while Mahomes/Brady/Rodgers sat and watched, simply how it was regardless of the why.
