Yeah, they were talking about this over on the NFL General board last night, and it's pretty surprising. Hope we have enough depth at LB to make a move like this.

I think the writing is on the wall with him. the injuries are having a cumulative effect on Beason and he was a bit of a liability in the first two games and that's why he didn't play against the Giants.
I honestly don't think they wanted to part with him but I believe this clears up some cap space in the future. Too bad he was one of the best before he got injured and he is a quality dude.

Looks like he has $12m in dead money the next 2 years. I think we have to take that hit, but looks like the total cap hit comes down 2.8, 7.8, then 9 million. Blackburn is making $1 mil this season.
