Felt good! Raider fan in the bar I’m at came up to me with about 5 minutes to go and said, “You know the Bears will blow it!”. I was like, yeah probably…

He just left going, “I don’t know why I do this to myself every year!”…

We know how he feels all too well....

T'weren't pretty gents, but a dub is a dub is a dub. We've been on the wrong end of these enough times, so no apologies for winning this nailbiter. Not sure if anyone on offense deserves a game ball, but definitely on D it goes to Kevin Byard, with a special nod to Josh Blackwell for that incredible blocked FG attempt.

I thought Tyrique did a good job.....

Ok, someone explain to me how a QB rating works because I've never been able to figure it out. Here are the two QB stats from today:

Williams: 22/37 212 yds 5.7 yds avg 1 TD 1 INT Rating: 73.3
Smith: 14/21 117 yds 5.6 avg 2TD 3 INT Rating: 73.0

This is not to suggest that Caleb played a great game, but clearly he was more effective and had 2 fewer TOs. The only thing I can surmise is Smith had a better passing pct and did toss one extra TD. But those yards and those 3 TOs. I can't believe they didn't factor in more to his detriment.

The higher % means more in PR and like you said the extra TD.

I like that.

He, Bowers and Tucker are 3 young building blocks on offense. And Mayer as a 2nd TE.

Yeah there’s a lot there. You need a QB. And I wouldn’t bother with a rookie.

We will give you Tyson Bagent for Maxx Crosby. You don’t even need to throw in a draft pick.

It’s just why that stat is so overrated.

Caleb wasn’t particularly good today. He was bad on quite a few throws. But he was better than Smith and he led the team down to take the lead late.

And Geno had a run game.

Yeah, maybe I didn't factor in the run. But you're right, when our team needed to get that lead, Caleb led the offense on an 11 play/69 yard drive in clutch time.

Week 1, Bears are functional for 3 quarters, terrible for the most important 4th

week 2, an ass whooping.....

week 3, finally a complete game ... one that was inspiring

so is the week 3 win the foundation they will build from, or are the first 3 weeks combined the mixed bag of up and downs we should become accustomed to?

But this is the Bears, so they will take the path that gives us the most agony and angst......
That was pretty agonizing with the exception being that the Raiders did raiders things for us at the end

Dude. Tyrique is playing well and playing hard. He deserves some praise after we shat on him for a year straight
For the record, I've always said he was a good player.

The Fail Mary was just awful, but it never warranted the complete ship-jump that occurred after. Prior to that game, EVERYONE was hyping him and Jaylon up as the best DB tandem in the game.

He's a No. 1 on more than half the teams in the league.

14 takes from Sports Mockery on the Raiders game yesterday:

Let me add take #15. That 4 yd run by Swift, which resulted in the winning TD, would not have happened without a great block by Olamide Zaccheus, who prevented his opponent from sealing the outside.

But let's also focus a bit more on take #4. Our running game is largely crap so far. 3 Raider turnovers and we come out of it with just 6 points? A solid run game could have easily helped make that 14 points, if not more. Not sure if there are any play designs by Johnson & co to help free up more room for our backs to exploit. But something needs to be done.
