Does anyone have a recipe they are willing to share?
I've looked and looked and tried several. But nothing good.

Ingredients Nutrition

Directions
  1. Heat oil over medium heat; add in onion and saute for about 3 minutes, then add in garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add in chili powder, paprika, cayenne, salt and black pepper; stir for 1 minute.
  3. Add in all remaining ingredients; bring to a boil stirring with a wooden spoon to combine.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered stirring occasionally for 1 hour over low heat (do not cover the pot or the texture and flavor will be affected, if you have a splatter screen then use it to cover the pot).
  5. Cool to room temperature then cover and refrigerate for 24 hours or more before using.

2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 tablespoon Tabasco
1 tablespoon of your favorite BBQ rub
2 teaspoons liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil over medium high heat. Then reduce the heat to medium and simmer the sauce until dark, thick, and rich in flavor, about 10-15 minutes.

There are SO many kinds of BBQ sauce, you need to be a bit more specific... Tomato based? Vinegar based? Mustard based? White sauce? I think you get the picture!!! :suds:

The one's I've tried were either tomato sauce or ketchup based. I prefer a vinegar tasting sauce. The commercial brand I like is Stubs.
I wouldn't mind trying a white sauce.

I've never cared for whiskey sauce.

it's light on the whiskey taste and great on the complex spice flavor…if your on the website (bout the only place you will find this sauce) buy the 4 bottle deal…you'll want more after having it once.

i have tried a lot of sauces and this one takes the grand prize.

doing ribs latter today and i'll sauce em with this brand.
