Got a chance to watch some of the game on a friend's TIVO. Both teams' Ds were a notch or two below pathetic. When the best defensive player on the field is someone named Shirley, you know there's problems. Unfortunately, games like this are what the media feels the fans want to see. They'd rather air a 56-53 shootout than a 16-13 defensive struggle. Another reason why the 9ers get less than their fair share of respect from the media.
