There was a discussion on MLB Network tonight about the Dodgers' rotation. They suggested that May could be the closer as he has the mentality to pitch daily. They suggest that Urias should stay in the rotation.

You usually only see that kind of number on a 4 or 5 year deal.

Exactly. Therefore it is an overpay by the Dodgers.. Though it appears the Mets made a bigger offer but I guess not as much for the first 2 years

That actually makes a lot of sense. I think May would do well. Jansen is pretty much cooked and has been for a couple of years.

Agree. But it's not my money. If it gets them another World Series win, then it's money well spent.

in a way it is your money. Ticket prices and food prices go up. But yeah that is the argument for paying. SP is the QB of the team. You have to overpay for a quality QB and same can be said for the SP. If it works then its not an overpay. If it doesn't than it is

I only go to a couple of games a year. Dodger Stadium is too far away to be going much more often. So a price increase doesn't effect me too much.

If it works, I'd say it's still an overpay, but a justifiable one.

I was really hoping to see him land with the Mets so I could watch him on a more regular basis
